Rob “The Stache” Smith • Q & A with Austin Kane

Rob “The Stache” Smith - The Fish Hawk

Jan 14th, at Manual’s Tavern at 7 PM •

Speaker: Rob “The Stache” Smith

Topic: Fishing questions and answers (Q & A) interview by Austin Kane

Bio: Rob “The Stache” Smith has been called the most interesting outdoorsman in the South. He has graced the front cover of Fly Fisherman magazine. Additionally, he has educated and mentored countless anglers during his time at The Fish Hawk.

An avid outdoorsman since a child, Rob Smith is well-versed in all aspects of angling – from spin fishing for crappie, fly fishing for large trout on local rivers and Alaskan bodies of water, to on-foot saltwater fly fishing in the South Pacific and “jungle angling” in the Amazon. If he’s not in the shop, you can bet he’s somewhere on the water or in the woods.

As a side note, two of his nicknames are “Stache” or “The Stache.” He will answer to either one. In speaking with him recently, I prefer the latter.
