Bio: Mat and Fran bring two complementary perspectives on fly fishing in Argentina, shaped by years on the water and years behind the scenes at Set Fly Fishing.
Mat has called northern Patagonia home for the past 15 years and has spent the last 10 with Set, working across sales, logistics, and now marketing. A dedicated trout angler, he fishes northern Patagonia throughout the season and has also logged his fair share of golden dorado trips over the years.
Fran has been fishing since he was a kid, has guided several seasons for golden dorado, and has held different roles at Set over the years. Today he leads trips for both Patagonia and golden dorado and is also an avid fly tier.
Together, they offer a first-hand look at fly fishing in Argentina — from trout in northern Patagonia to golden Dorado in Corrientes — covering the fish, the places, the flies, the travel, and the stories behind it all.
