Bio: Chris Scalley started River Through Atlanta Guide Service in 1994. Growing up in Roswell, Georgia, enjoying hunting, fishing, and trapping around the Chattahoochee River. Comparing global fisheries, he’s fly fished in New Zealand, Ireland, Austria, the Rocky Mountains, and Pennsylvania. While these distant waters are worth the journey, Chris and many clients feel the ‘Hooch compares favorably both for angling and aesthetics. Recognized as a finalist in the 2007 Heroes of Conservation, he has guided drift boat trips in the Chattahoochee National Recreation Area since 1994 and has a commercial guide’s license for Cumberland River float trips since 2000. Holding a BA in History from Elon College and CPR certified, Chris aims to help all levels rejuvenate their souls on the water.
