Tad Murdock • Trout and salmonid species of the world

Apr 9th, at Manual’s Tavern at 7 PM •

Guest Speaker: Richard “Tad” Murdock

Topic: The trout and salmonid species of the world, their history, and the fishing tactics used to catch them.

Bio: Tad is the owner of Georgia Wild Trout, a fly fishing guide service operating across North Georgia. In his free time he targets the many salmonid (trout, char, salmon, and taimen) species of the world. He documents these fish and the places they live on his websites:
www.theanglersdestination.com and www.georgiawildtrout.com to better promote fishing tourism and education.

While his early fishing experience revolves around tournament bass fishing, he transitioned to fly fishing about a decade ago. He has a degree in fisheries biology from Louisiana State University (LSU).  He continues to study and learn about the various fish of the world in order to better promote their conservation for years to come.
