Topic: Biscayne Bay
BIO: A fourth-generation native Floridian, Chris has family ties spanning the state from Key West in the early 1900s to Jacksonville, where he was born and raised. Apart from a brief three-year stint at Ole Miss, his entire life has been rooted in the Sunshine State. Upon completing a Marketing Degree at the University of Florida, he began a career in guiding and hosting travel with Jacksonville Beach-based Trek International Safaris. This experience opened doors to exploring new destinations and hosting trips from the flats of Central America to the duck blinds of Argentina, where he learned from some of the world’s most renowned guides.
After leaving Trek Safaris Chris stayed in the fishing industry with an emphasis in rod building while establishing his own guide business in Mosquito Lagoon. His passion for bonefish and permit, ignited during his early days at Trek, led him to relocate with his wife to South Florida, where he has been guiding full-time in Biscayne Bay for the past three years.
Beyond his unwavering dedication to bonefish and permit fishing, Chris actively participates in Captains for Clean Water, an organization dedicated to restoring and protecting the pristine waters of his beloved State of Florida.
