Captain Allen Cain – Jan 13th

Topic: Year-round fishing opportunities in North Carolina

Captain Allen will discuss the many different year-round fishing opportunities in North Carolina (NC) as well as a little on destination locations he guides such as Louisiana winter redfish and striped bass in the spring.

Bio: Captain Allen grew up hunting and fishing the piedmont region of NC. Being from a family deeply rooted in the outdoors, his passion for hunting and fishing naturally developed at a young age. He spent his younger years fishing the local ponds and lakes as well as fly-fishing for trout throughout the mountains of NC. Summer vacations were spent in Carolina Beach where Allen spent everyday fishing the surrounding marshes, beaches, and piers.
When it came time to attend college, Allen was drawn back to coastal NC and attended the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. While at UNCW, Allen spent every free minute learning how to combine his passion for fishing and hunting together through shallow water sight fishing. Although Capt. Allen enjoys all types of fishing, he discovered there is nothing more exciting than stalking a fish in shallow water and watching it eat a fly or lure.
Over the last 15 years he has spent hundreds of days a year learning and exploring the local waters and the many species of fish that inhabit them. Allen has extensive experience fishing the inshore and offshore waters of NC as well as the Florida Keys, Everglades, and Louisiana.
In 2010, Allen obtained his USCG captains license and decided to pursue a full- time fishing career. With over a decade of guiding experience Capt. Allen will work hard to ensure you have a memorable fishing adventure on the water.
